Still Life Project Page
Our new assignment is a still life project to look at using a limited set of strong colours, close-up image, composition, how colour objects influence the colour of those nearby as well as practising the use of controlled washes and more loose wet washes for contrast. We will also look at a few tip as for texture. In the RESOURCES pages list opposite click on the "Still Life Set Up" link (the last one in the list) to see some tips and some images like the one here that you can use for this project or set up your own in class. See also "Still Life painting in stages" opposite for some tips on how to start painting the subject.

Hi Stu,
ReplyDeletebring all your watercolour equipment as usual tonight. We will be looking at perspective - drawing mainly then with added watercolour washes. We were also going to use any townscape photos each of you has managed to take and print off from your computers as subjects for the perspective concept. I forgot to mention the photos in my earlier email to you this afternoon. I will also g=bring in some shots that people can use.
