We WILL be in class next week but on TUESDAY evening 6-8.30pm NOT Monday. The school is closed on the Bank Holiday Monday only.
The same is true at end of May. That week, we will NOT be in Monday 26 May but we WILL be in on Tuesday 27 May 6-8.30pm.

Up and running again!
We started our new term last night with a good sized group of enthusiastic artists!
We welcomed new members to the group - a big "welcome aboard!" to Caroline, Rob and David and a very warm welcome back to Olwyn and Pam :-)
Tonight we looked at how the hand can be a study or a story. Over three weeks we will do drawings, monochrome and full colour paintings using the hand as the main motif.
Here are the excellent first steps. Plus a couple of paintings by Jan and Shirley - wonderful.

New Term Starts Today!
We start our new term tonight by looking at HANDS. There are images of hands in the Pastels Blog that we will use as subjects and you can use your own hand as the subject. Here is the link to the Pastels Hands Resources:

Final Session - Monday Group
The Monday group completed last term on 7 April. Here are the amazing paintings done by the group. One or two are at an early stage. Lots of gems in the details so make sure you take a closer look at each one. We start the new term Monday 28 April. See next post for more details.

Final Session of Term - Tuesday Group
The Tuesday group concluded last term on 8 April with a brilliant range of paintings and achievements. Everyone make such good progress. There is no Tuesday group this term but we should be back in September. Meanwhile let's enjoy the work done in the last session:

Main Project Monday Group Week 11: Still-Life.
We are into our penultimate week and work is progressing really nicely. Some fabulous moments in everyone's picture, even in those that are in the early stage. Looking forward to next week when we see the final results.
