Main Project Tuesday Group: a landscape scene
We are now into out final project of term, a full landscape scene. The great starts can be seen below.
For the newer members of the group we started a separate landscape project to learn some key watercolour skills ready for next term. We will see how they are getting on in next week's blog.

Mini Projects 6 (landscape) & 7 (still-life). Monday Group.
We produced some amazing landscape paintings in project 6 and these are shown below. Tonight some decided to continue working on their landscapes whilst others started their final project 7 "still-life".
We invested some time in understanding how to set up and look at the subject of still-life as well as how a narrative can be part of the painting. We will have images of the still-life project next week.
For those who took photos on our iPads as part of their preparations - your photos will be added soon so you can work between lessons and in class next week.

Mini Project 5 Tuesday Group: a landscape scene
Mini Project 6 Monday Group: a landscape scene
We started on our main landscape scene tonight. Some very good details in every picture. We also did a little exercise in pairs then as a whole group to find those little gems or moments in each others paintings. Fascinating and we discovered some amazing "finds" in every painting.

Mini Project 4 Tuesday Group: water
Mini Project 5 Monday Group: A landscape scene
We have started our main landscape scene painting. Learners have chosen a range of types of landscape - sea, countryside, mountains, sky. The sequential nature of our mini projects this term means we are more equipped to tackle the full scene. Very interesting painterly qualities can be seen in each of the works below. And everyone's skills are growing.
