Most of us have reached the half-way stage in our final project for the term - emotive, transformative landscapes. The first stage was to create a landscape that reflects more or less accurately the source image whilst the second stage involves creating an alternative interpretation. This can include either or any combination of the following changes: style, technique, colour, line, tone, time, season, weather, mood, atmosphere. Here are the results so far, a very interesting mix of subjects in the first paintings with a lot of anticipation about how the second image will be different from the first!
