Industrial Landscape Project
Tonight we started our industrial landscape project which will take us through to the end of term. The landscape subject chosen is one that is connected to each person in the group in some direct, personal way. One or two carried on with their other projects to develop them further. Good to see a process being used before moving to the painting stage.

Final week of Exotic Hen project
Sunday, 22 June 2014
Exotic Hens
We had our final season on exotic hens today. Some truly amazing discoveries have been made by everyone in the group. One of which was how enjoyable and rewarding this subject turned out to be! Next week we start our final project - industrial landscapes.

Week 8: Exotic Hens
Results so far with our exotic hens project are amazing. Who would have thought such a subject would provoke such a creative and technically brilliant response from everyone? It will be really interesting to see the final results next week.

New project: Exotic Hens
Tonight we started our new project - exotic hens. Working from good quality hen "portraits", as a group we explored the painterly and artistic qualities and possibilities of these incredible creatures; sharing ideas about how we might approach the project, what excited and or intrigued us individually about the hens, and technical considerations. We agreed a process including thumbnail and colour swatch analysis and masking the image to find the key elements we want to explore in our studies over the three weeks.
